Turnovers & Injuries

The Steelers take a shaky 2-1 record into Houston for another AFC test on the road after escaping Indianapolis 23-20 this past Sunday. The Steelers were heavily favored to trounce the winless Colts, but the Steelers had to score three times in the fourth quarter to win the game. Turnovers have plagued the Steelers this season, and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been in the middle of most of them. He has thrown 4 interceptions and lost 4 fumbles on sacks this year. There is also a sudden inability to run the football as well for the Steelers. They ran the ball 28 times for 67 yards against the Colts and only have 257 yards after three games and averaging 3.3 yards per carry this year. " That is not Steelers football." I know this is a passing league now, and the NFL is at a record setting pace as far as scoring, but you need to be able to run the ball to control the clock, and you need to be able to run the ball in December when it's cold out and it's a little bit harder to put the ball in the air as much. The Steelers have also lost another 3 offensive linemen, and it's not immediately known how long those injuries will keep them out. A scary stat to take notice to, the Steelers have 10 turnovers and only 1 takeaway in three games, not too good. The positive thing to take from all of this is that the Steelers have not yet played a complete mistake free game yet, and that could be scary for upcoming opponents. LETS GO STEELERS...
