STEELERS primed for playoffs.
The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Mile High Stadium to take on the Denver Broncos this weekend at 4:30, Sunday evening. The Steelers finished the regular season 12-4 and ended up at the 5th seed in the AFC conference. The Broncos finished the season at 8-8 and still managed to win their division. Many people are curious why a 12-4 team is traveling across the country to play an 8-8 team, but that is just the way it goes. Win your division, and you shall host a playoff game .Pittsburgh had their chance to win won more game than Baltimore but failed to do so, now they will have to go on the road and do it the way they did it in 2005 when they won the Super Bowl. But, lets face it, winning three playoff games on the road is no easy task, hence the fact it has only happened 2 times in history, and one of those road warriors were the Steelers. The Steelers have faced injuries and adversity all season, but the Black N Gold are primed for yet another playoff push . GO STEELERS......

Steelers make a statement!
With a 25-17 victory over the Patriots this past Sunday, the Steelers now hold a 6-2 record, which is the best in the AFC. But, right behind them are the 5-2 Baltimore Ravens who gave the Steelers a nice butt kicking in week one. The Steelers are in control of their own fate right now, they just have to get through two division games until their by week, where they may have an opportunity to get some guys healthy.
The Steelers have improved each week on offense, and continue to get better each and every day. Ben Roethlisberger was 36-50 for 365 yards against New England, and could have put up even more points against the Pats. Big Ben spread the ball all around the field, especially, getting his tight end heavily involved in the first quarter, Heath Miller. Ben has 2,302 yards on the season, and is on a steady pace to break his passing yardage record he set in 2009 of 4,328 yards. But the offensive game plan was simple for the Steelers on Sunday, just keep Tom Brady off the field, don't even give him a chance to beat you, and the Steelers didn't.
The Steelers Defense played a sound outstanding game. Man on man coverage for the entire game, and never let up against a really good Patriots scoring team. Steelers OLB LaMarr Woodley had a great game, pressuring Brady most of the evening, recording 2 sacks, bringing his sack total to 9 on the year. Woodley did leave late in the game with a hamstring injury, but the stingy Steelers defense didn't let up. Safety Troy Polomalu left his own stamp on the game after a strip sack caused by Brett Keisel, Troy dove on the ground between Patriots players, punching the ball through the end zone causing a safety, and ultimately closing the deal for the Steelers. What a great statement game. Next up, Baltimore, so get ready because it's "Ravens Week."
